Mollie and AJ’s tender embrace as her Strictly dream comes to an end

- Daily Mail Reporter

THEY formed such a close bond on Strictly Come Dancing that rumours of romance have swirled around them.

And last night, as Mollie King and AJ Pritchard’s time on the dance show came to an end, the tenderness of their embrace will have done little to end the speculation.

Miss King became the 11th celebrity to be eliminated, missing out on a place in the final after losing the dance-off to soap star and radio presenter Gemma Atkinson.

Welling up, the 30-year-old singer hailed her dance partner Pritchard, 23, as an ‘absolute legend’, saying: ‘You have been the best part of this experience. Spending all this time with AJ, I feel so lucky.’

Their relationship is set to continue beyond the BBC1 show, as the pair have said they plan to carry on dancing together. They want to learn the tango, one of the styles they had yet to try on the series.

Miss King, from the pop group the Saturdays, had come bottom of the leader board on Saturday night after failing to impress the judges with her samba.

And after she took to the dance floor again last night, the judges voted unanimously to save Miss Atkinson, 33, who will appear in the Strictly final on Saturday with Joe McFadden, Debbie McGee and Alexandra Burke.

Miss King and Mr Pritchard, who are both single, have been at the centre of romance speculation since they were partnered on the show, with even the judges picking up on their ‘unbelievable chemistry’.
