ENGLAND LAY DOWN LAW TO BAD BOY DUCKETT

ENGLAND threw the book at Ben Duckett yesterday in an attempt to show their Ashes miscreants they must clean up their act. Duckett, the peripheral figure who gate-crashed the Ashes party in the worst possible way in a Perth bar last week, was fined, banned for the last three games of the Lions tour of Australia and given a final written warning about his conduct after a disciplinary hearing conducted here and at home. It is a severe sanction from England after Duckett, a serial offender, heaped more embarrassment and ridicule on England by pouring a pint of beer over Jimmy Anderson’s head during yet another late night out.
