Who said the fox can’t run with the hounds?

BOUNDING around in thick snow, this fox and hound might seem an unlikely pair.

But Rosie the fox and Maddy the terrier are old friends who play together daily – so it’s only natural for them to make the most of the frosty weather together.

Rosie was handreared by photographer Richard Bowler almost five years ago after her father killed the rest of the litter.

She now lives in a large enclosure on the edge of the Berwyn mountain range in north Wales, near Lakeland Patterdale cross Maddy. Mr Bowler said: ‘Maddy has always been playful and it’s a natural instinct for a fox to play so they get on great.’
