How chilly Kristin thawed out

DAME Kristin Scott Thomas, who has complained in the past about being typecast as ‘cold’ characters, is prepared to take drastic measures to thaw out.

After appearing on the red carpet in near freezing temperatures to promote her latest film, Darkest Hour, the star of The English Patient visited the lavatories at the Odeon Leicester Square. There, she hoisted up her bare legs to be warmed by hot air from the hand dryers.

Kristin, 57, commented next to this picture, which she shared with fans online: ‘Warming up in desperation.’ At least she had a long coat to wear: her young co-star, Lily James, had to shiver her way down the carpet in an off-the-shoulder gown.
