Tarrant in disguise! Is that your final answer?

TV presenTer Chris Tarrant sneaked in to see the new play Quiz, inspired by the cheating scandal on his old show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

The play chronicles the story of ex-Army major Charles Ingham, a contestant who was found guilty in 2003 of getting a friend in the audience to indicate answers by coughing. Tarrant, 71, who hosted the show for 15 years, turned up to watch the production in Chichester before it transfers to the West end. He clearly didn’t want to be identified, as he went in disguise.

A member of the cast reveals: ‘It was hilarious because he had worn this disguise, but it was so obvious it was him. The theatre isn’t that big, so it was easy to spot him in the audience.’
