Roy: If we keep battling we can beat the drop
CRYSTAL PALACE manager Roy Hodgson has challenged his players to finish the job of staying in the Premier League. The Eagles climbed out of the bottom three, at the expense of West Bromwich with last night’s dramatic win over Watford. And Hodgson has urged his players not to get complacent despite last night’s sensational win. ‘There’s a long way to go. For a good period of time from now, we’re going to be in or around that relegation zone,’ said Hodgson (below). ‘One week we’ll be in it, easy. They’re saying to you: give us some guidance as to how you want the instruments to play, we’ll become an orchestra.’ Watford manager Marco Silva, reflecting on another defeat from a winning position, said: ‘One more time. It is hard to believe but if you want to fight in football and take the points you deserve, you have to play for 95 minutes. We did everything well until almost 90 minutes. I didn’t see one shot from our opponent until then. But 1-0 is not enough.’
