James Dean he ain’t! Miliband Xmas card is a bit of a mouthful

- By James Tapsfield

POLITICS is running at a breakneck speed this year, but one Labour MP clearly has more time on his hands than the other to spend on his Christmas card.

Former leader Ed Miliband has sent himself up as a James Dean lookalike perched on a Harley-Davidson and clutching a bacon sandwich – the breakfast staple that proved to be his downfall during the 2015 election campaign when his struggles to eat one were widely ridiculed. While current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has merely reprinted his election manifesto cover – but given it a festive makeover with the addition of a few Santa hats, reindeer antlers and the odd snowflake.

The image on Mr Miliband’s card has been adapted from his appearance on satirical Channel 4 TV show The Last Leg earlier this year – when he also lipsynced to A-ha’s hit Take On Me.
