BRIGHTON BAN FANS FROM COVERING FACES IN DERBY

-

BRIGHTON have told fans they cannot cover their faces when they turn up for their FA Cup clash with Crystal Palace on January 8. Trouble flared between the clubs’ fans in last month’s Premier League game. Brighton said that supporters’ ‘faces must not be covered by hats, scarves, hoods or masks — i.e. they must be recognisable — when entering the turnstiles’. Cardiff boss Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct by the fa following his dismissal against reading on Monday. The manager was sent from the touchline in the 78th minute by referee Steve Martin in the 2-2 draw at reading. Warnock, who called his dismissal ‘a travesty’, has until friday at 6pm to respond. AFC WIMBLEDON have been given the green light to build a new £25million stadium in their home London borough. Merton Council have agreed that work can start at the site of the old Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium on Plough Lane.
