ACCORDING to former Spice Girl Mel B, her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte sexually and physically abused her during their ten-year marriage, though he denies it. Now a court has decided she must pay him £11,160 a month for three years in ‘spousal support’, plus his legal fees for the divorce — a total of £500,000. Ironic, isn’t it, that her band was all about Girl Power — which turns out, in Mel’s case, to mean supporting a workshy ex-husband years after you’ve divorced.
