have a lightning-fast punch, but world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (far left) had serious battery power help from Jaguar’s new electr i c I- Pace when he lit up Christmas for some special children.

The boxer used the super-charged battery of a festively wrapped, present-packed I-Pace (left) to carry out a Christmas lights switch-on for youngsters at Boole House, an NSPCC centre in Coventry, Jaguar’s spiritual home. The event was part of Light Up Christmas For Children, a campaign in which people share their own Christmas lights photo ‘selfies’ via the hashtag #LightsOn and donate to the charity.

The charge from the underfloor battery of the I-Pace — on sale in the spring from £60,000 — powered the lightbulbs to delight children at the house named after the late Jaguar boss David Boole.

Anthony, who drives a Jaguar F-Pace, said: ‘This can be a tough time of year for lots of people. So to give the children such a special surprise is brilliant.’
