JEERED at a Jewish Labour Movement party last week, Jeremy Corbyn has denied he wants sanctions against Israel. Is this the same Jeremy Corbyn who, in 2015, was asked about the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel and answered: ‘I think the boycott campaign, divestment campaign, is part and parcel of a legal process that has to be adopted. I believe that sanctions against Israel, because of its breach of the trade agreement, are the appropriate way of promoting [the] peace process’? PS: At Glastonbury this summer, Corbyn boasted he would be PM by Christmas. He’s got seven days to fulfil that promise . . .
