Deputy speaker’s despair at death of daughter, 28
THE deputy speaker of the House of Commons yesterday told of his devastation at the sudden death of his daughter.
Lindsay Hoyle, who is Labour MP for Chorley in Lancashire, said life would not be the same without 28-year Natalie.
Her body was found on Friday morning at the home she shares with her mother, Miriam Lewis. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Her 60-year-old father said: ‘I am truly devastated by the death of our beautiful daughter Natalie. Our family will never be the same without our loving granddaughter, sister and aunty. Thank you for the kind support we’ve received, it is overwhelming.’
Miss Lewis-Hoyle’s mother urged anyone who had been in contact with her on the night before she died to inform police.
Miss Lewis, a Conservative district councillor from Heybridge in Essex, wrote on Facebook: ‘Natalie is my only child – my mini-me. Please help me find out what happened to her in the hours before her death.
‘Any little scrap of information may be more relevant than you imagine.’
Her daughter worked in the construction industry and was also a local councillor.
