AN AWARD FOR BRAVE BRADLEY
AS JERMAIN DEFOE said so poignantly in an interview in yesterday’s Mail on Sunday, a trophy from the BBC is not going to bring back Bradley Lowery (right). But there was recognition last night for the bravery displayed by the six-year-old who died of cancer in July. His parents, Gemma and Carl, were presented with the Helen Rollason Award, which recognises achievement in the face of adversity. ‘I was overwhelmed but honoured to receive this on behalf of Bradley,’ said Gemma. ‘He raised so much awareness for children with cancer.’
