ROLET STAYS SILENT
THE ousted London Stock Exchange boss refused to tell his board if he backed a plot to reinstate him, colleagues said.
Xavier Rolet, 58, was forced to quit due to concerns over his autocratic management style. The LSE’s senior independent director Paul Heiden said: ‘The board asked Mr Rolet to make his position clear and he declined to do so for a number of days.’ Relationships during that period ‘became fairly strained’.
Rolet had originally planned to leave next year after a successor was found.
