THEIR enduring friendship was forged nearly 30 years ago on the set of Absolutely Fabulous. Now, in honour of Patsy and Eddy, who quaffed their fair share of the s sparkling stuff, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders (pictured) embark on a mission to explore their alter egos’ favourite tipple. Is champagne expensive because it’s special, or special because it’s expensive? Why does it cost so much anyway? And how do they put the bubbles in it? In search of the answers to these questions and more, they go on a fun-filled journey to the heart of the Champagne region in north-eastern France, giggling all the way.
