Out of the mouths of babes

-

MANY years ago, my younger brother announced he was learning a new Christmas carol at school. When he was asked the name of it, he said: ‘In the Blinking Winter.’ As I was ten years old and knew everything, I told him it was In The Bleak Midwinter. ‘No, no,’ he replied, ‘the teacher said it’s In The Blinking Winter.’ We’re both in our 80s, but my brother and I still have to smile when we hear this beautiful carol.
