HQ next for no-booze zone?

THE RFU are to monitor a plan by their Welsh counterpar­ts for a no-alcohol zone at the Principali­ty Stadium, with a view to taking similar steps at Twickenham. The WRU responded to concerns about excessive drinking and anti-social behaviour on Cardiff match-days. At Twickenham, there have been increasing complaints about fans moving to and from bars during England games and the RFU may introduce a no-booze section of their own. ‘It is an interestin­g idea and we wouldn’t rule it out,’ said a spokesman. ‘We will look at anything that improves customer experience if it can be delivered in a practical way.’ The WRU intend to implement their plan by next autumn — a new concept in the Northern Hemisphere.
