Easter eggs on sale already

SHOPPERS across the country have been shocked to find bunny chocolates and Easter eggs for sale before the Christmas season has even ended.

A range of Easter-themed goods have been spotted in shops already, leaving many questioning why anyone would want a chocolate egg this early.

Co-op appears to be one of the first stores to ditch Christmas-themed chocolates, with one internet user from the Isle of Skye, Scotland, finding them replaced by Easter treats in his local shop.

WHSmith has been quick to follow suit, with one branch in Hove, East Sussex, stocking Malteaser bunnies.

And writing online, one woman said her mother took the opportunity to combine both holidays: ‘My mam got us Easter eggs for Christmas.’
