Cash and courier

-

I LIVE in a village where the nearest ATM is a mile away. It is the same for most villages, even those joined to the towns. It does not affect me because I can walk and drive but many OAPs cannot do either.

Instead of the crocodile tears about saving ATMs one should look at where there are plenty and get rid of some of them, but put one or two back in to the community where there are few or none.

As for those that charge, you need to take out as much as possible at one go. I have seen people who take out £20 and pay £2 to get it.

And I have no sympathy for those whinging about late parcels. It happens every year but stupidly people believe the hype and order online just a few days before Christmas.

Royal Mail staff are vetted, but does the same apply to courier drivers? Amazon wants the keys to my house to deliver me a parcel — not blooming likely!

I recently had an Amazon driver standing in the street shouting my name because he could not work out what door to knock. MARTIN FLETCHER, Rotherham, S. Yorks.
