Originally created as the sports presenter in the Radio 4 comedy On The Hour, Steve Coogan’s alter ego soon had his own radio show before transferring to television and later the silver screen. Ahead of Alan’s return to his rightful BBC home next year, this documentary celebrates the journey this gem of a character has taken over the years, and assesses his impact on British culture.
