That’s what you call a doggy bag

CARTING your dog around in a handbag or – heaven forbid – on a lead, is just so last season.

For the fashionable young dogowner about town, it seems the ‘bubble’ carrier is the only way to transport a pet in style these days. Film director Richard Curtis’s daughter Scarlett showed off a pastel pink version on her Instagram account yesterday.

In the photo the 21-yearold journalist models a £60 ‘space age astronaut carryon’ while her white maltipoo Posy peeks out of the Perspex dome window. Miss Curtis, whose mother is Red Nose Day director Emma Freud, captioned the snap: ‘My mum is good at lots of things and one of those things is buying Christmas presents. ‘Posy loves it. She is very happy. Don’t trust her face.’ The bags are the brainchild of US firm U Pets. According to its website, they give pampered pooches a ‘window to the world’. Then again, most would probably be just as happy with a good oldfashioned walkies.
