AS DETECTIVE Sergeant Kate Fleming in hit BBC series Line Of Duty, Vicky McClure has a troubled love life, but off screen the 34-yearold actress enjoys better luck.

McClure has become engaged to Welsh actor Jonny Owen, 46, after he proposed on Christmas Day.

‘We stayed at home together for the first time on Christmas Eve so had Christmas morning together,’ she says. ‘He popped the question over a cup of tea — we moved onto the bubbles by 8.30am.’

McClure, who played her new fiance’s girlfriend in the 2013 film Svengali, showed off her sparkler yesterday in this selfie taken at Wollaton Hall, an Elizabethan country house in Nottingham.

The couple had previously shown their commitment by acquiring a hermaphrodite Bichon Frise called Molly.
