...And Cameron Cutie Claire to marry again in New Year

DESCRIBED as a ‘Cameron Cutie’ since her promotion by the former PM, Climate Change Minister Claire Perry has some news to share about her love life.

The MP for Devizes, 53, has finally confirmed she will tie the knot with Cambridge professor Bill O’Neill. ‘I am sure next year will be filled with new challenges and excitement, including my wedding,’ she said.

The usually voluble MP was uncharacteristically reticent earlier this year when I asked her about rumours she was to get married, snapping: ‘Private lives are just that!’

Her reluctance to talk may have been linked to the awkward circumstances in which her romance with O’Neill was revealed by a newspaper in 2013. Three months earlier, she had announced that she had separated from her husband, City fund manager Clayton Perry, and dismissed ‘wild speculation’ that she was having an affair.
