Not in line for riches

-

NOT all railway engineers are paid big bonuses for working over Christmas.

My brother works on railway maintenance for a subcontractor. His wage is £80 a day and there is no overtime pay or bonus if he works on public holidays.

He is picked up by a van at 5am and gets home by 6pm.

There are some unscrupulous subcontractors who take advantage of their workers and yet get huge amounts from the rail companies.
