- By KIERAN GILL

PHIL TAYLOR cruised into the quarter-finals of the William Hill World Championship with a 4-0 win over Keegan Brown at London’s Alexandra Palace. The 16-time world champion, who is retiring after the tournament, sealed victory in style with a 106 checkout and faces Gary Anderson, a 4-2 winner over Steve West. Taylor, 57, said: ‘The pressure is off so I can enjoy it. The occasion got to Keegan early on but then he relaxed and I had to slow down and make sure I finished him off.’ Taylor played down his chances of going on to win the tournament, saying: ‘If I did it would give everyone a headache as I won’t be coming back to defend it.’
