DISCOUNT DEAL

Budget carrier Wizz Air has signed a deal with Airbus for 146 aircraft worth £13bn.

The agreement will enable Wizz Air to renew its existing fleet, provide more capacity for growth and offer lower fares, the company said. It added that the 72 A320neos and 74 A321neos have been bought at a ‘significan­t discount’.

STAIRCASE ACTION

The Government is pushing ahead with plans to reverse the controvers­ial ‘ staircase tax’ in a move which has been hailed by small business advocates. If it is not overturned, offices covering multiple floors in a building would be billed separately for each floor if their corridors or staircases are communal.
