A bet on the £50bn video games boom
IT MAKES more money than Hollywood and is invading the living room – the video games industry is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down yet.
While global box office revenues netted the film industry £30bn, video games did better, and raked in more than £50bn.
FRONTIER DEVELOPMENTS is one of the UK’s leaders in this field, producing hits that may not be household names for many but bring in millions.
The Cambridge-based company has also just signed a potentially lucrative deal with Universal Pictures to produce a Jurassic Park strategy game.
The arrangement includes the possibility it could lead to further tie-ups that could boost growth.
Frontier is currently worth about £508m but its shares have risen 370pc in the past year, and were 1324.5p yesterday.
