STEEL FIRM THAT WILL BE SHAPING THE CITY

- by Hugo Duncan

STEEL contractor SEVERFIELD has worked on some of the biggest construction projects in Britain in recent years, including the Olympic Stadium, The Shard, heathrow airport and Wimbledon’s centre court.

Earlier this month the yorkshire-based company won a contract to work on Google’s new headquarters in london.

Shares in Severfield, which covers design, manufacturing and construction of steelwork, are off recent highs.

But they look set to benefit from increased infrastructure spending in Britain.

Severfield also raised its dividend by 29pc. The management team has overseen a turnaround since 2013 and has outlined plans to deliver profits of £26m by 2020. The shares are 79.75p.
