Government’s gifts

THE TV appeal for WaterAid for Africa states the UK Government will match pound for pound any sums donated by viewers.

It appears that this largesse with taxpayers’ money is in addition to our £ 13 billion per year foreign aid expenditure.

My favourite charity is Cancer Research, so can I look forward to the Government being similarly generous to supplement my donations?
