Bank bonus bonanza

-

BANKERS at Deutsche Bank are to get their bonuses restored after a sharp cut in 2016.

Bonus payments at the bank plunged from £2.1bn in 2015 to £485m a year later after a multi-billion dollar fine for the sale of toxic debt.

But bosses are now keen to prevent talent defecting to Wall Street for higher pay checks.

It comes despite Germany’s biggest bank being under growing pressure to boost annual results, due next month.

Revenue from its investment banking division fell by almost a quarter in the three months to September to £3.1m.
