Canaries on song but vultures are circling

-

Norwich manager Daniel Farke shrugged off transfer speculation surrounding a number of his top players after his side came from behind to beat Millwall.

Alex Pritchard and James Maddison, who combined to fashion the canaries’ 77th-minute winner, have been linked with moves away, as have strikers Nelson oliveira and cameron Jerome.

But the Norwich boss said: ‘it is good when some of your players are being mentioned as targets for other clubs because that means they are playing well. i am very relaxed about the situation.

‘No one has knocked on my door and told me they want to leave.’

Steve Morison opened the scoring for Millwall a minute before the break with a spectacular shot from 30 yards after spotting home keeper Angus Gunn off his line.

Tom Trybull equalised and Maddison won it with an emphatic finish from Pritchard’s superb reverse pass.

Millwall manager Neil harris was furious after his side lost the initiative in the second half.

‘i am raging with my players and i have let them know in no uncertain terms what i thought of their second-half performance,’ he said.
