Forest buoyed by Brazil

-

GARY BRAZIL may not know whether his third spell as caretaker manager of Nottingham Forest will stretch beyond this one game, but he was happy to have injected defensive resolve into a side whose previous fragility cost Mark Warburton his job. Forest kept their first clean sheet in eight games after parting company with Warburton as they claimed a battling but deserved point. While Forest start their search for a 10th manager in five-and-a-half years off the pitch, on it Jordan Smith made late saves to frustrate Leeds. ‘I am proud of how the players performed and proud of what they gave for the team,’ said Brazil. ‘Some more quality in the final third would have been nice, because I know what these boys are capable of. Our application made it hard for Leeds to break us down.’ The home side’s manager Thomas Christiansen felt his team had enough of opportunities to grab victory. He said: ‘We created the chances to win the game so this is two points lost.’
