What a tip! Cabbies win £28million on the Lotto

TWO taxi drivers have won a total of £28million in lottery prizes.

One cabbie from Gloucestershire scooped £ 24,501,283 last Wednesday when he matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw.

And a £4million scratchcard prize was won by a female taxi driver from Hull – believed to be Melissa Ede, a former guest on The Jeremy Kyle Show.

The transgender reality personality posted a cryptic message on social media hinting at some good news. She wrote on Monday: ‘Tomorrow, I will prove the impossible is actually possible. Stay tuned.’

Miss Ede was reported to be the winner last night, but neither the taxi driver nor Camelot have confirmed the news.

The 56-year-old, who describes herself as a ‘transgender activist’, made her first appearance on ITV’s The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2016 when she was accused of having an affair with a married man.

She returned to the show last July when she took a DNA test to find out if she was the biological father of her daughter Emily. The test revealed she was not the father.

Miss Ede once tried to raise £15,000 to get cosmetic dental work, claiming NHS treat- ment ‘failed and terrified’ her. She said that she wanted to use the money to fund a set of implants rather than having dentures.

She wrote last January: ‘Some days I can hardly speak properly because of the pain in my mouth.

‘This is my only way of raising the money to finally get my teeth sorted which have been ruined by hormones and violence.’

Despite asking for £15,000, Miss Ede has only raised £315 so far.

The taxi driver who won the £24.5million prize has yet to be identified, but both of the winners are expected to be officially revealed today.
