Trains face threat from flying trampolines
RAIL companies yesterday urged people living near tracks to secure their trampolines to stop them flying out of gardens and disrupting trains.
Two trampolines were discovered by train crews near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday night, and photographs of Storm Eleanor last night showed trampolines rolling along roads and towards cars across the country.
Mark Killick, of Network Rail, said: ‘It is incredible to think that a trampoline could fly through the air on to the railway, but here we have two at the same location. This is an ongoing problem which poses an obvious safety hazard.’
