Hugh Grant’s girlfriend expecting his fifth child
HUGH Grant is due to become a father for the fifth time, his girlfriend’s mother has said.
The actor, 57, is reportedly expecting a girl with girlfriend Anna Eberstein, 35.
The Swedish TV producer already has two children with Grant, and another two with Chinese receptionist Tinglan Hong.
Susanne Eberstein, his girlfriend’s mother, is said to have told Swedish paper Aftonbladet: ‘I’m very happy to be getting another grandchild. She’s due rather soon’.
Grant was seen with his girlfriend – dressed in black and covering her stomach with a blazer – at a New York airport yesterday after attending the Golden Globes. The couple have a son, John, five, and another child, born in 2015, whose name has never been revealed.
Grant – who was yesterday nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Bafta Film Awards for his role in Paddington 2 – also had a daughter, Tabitha, six, and a son Felix, four, with Miss Hong – who he is understood to have bought a £1.2million home close to his own in West London. His growing brood meant he once had three new children within the space of 15 months.
At the time of Tabitha’s birth, his spokesman said: ‘He and the mother had a fleeting affair and, while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on friendly terms.’
Anna Eberstein’s mother, a judge and prominent left-wing politician, confirmed the birth of her daughter’s second child with Grant to a Swedish newspaper at the time.
A representative for Grant did not reply to requests for comment last night.
