Dyson told its advert sucks

AN advert for a £500 Dyson air purifier has been banned for suggesting indoor pollution was more damaging to health than a car exhaust.

The ad for the Dyson Purifier Heater showed car exhaust fumes before saying pollution in the home can be up to five times worse than outdoors.

Dyson insisted it did not intend to exaggerate home air pollution and provided studies to back the figures.

However, the Advertising Standards Authority said these did not justify the claims in the ‘misleading’ ad.
