‘WHAT’s it like being sued?’ Al Murray, aka the Pub Landlord, asks Ian Hislop (pictured) in CHAIN REACTION (11.30AM, RADIO 4), the series that has the previous week’s interviewe­e becoming the interviewe­r. Ian, who’s made many appearance­s in the dock defending Private Eye in libel lawsuits, is said to be the most sued man in England. Ian talks about some of his courtroom dramas, as well as his early career writing scripts for other comedians. Next week, Ian will interview Victoria Coren Mitchell.

THE snow falls on the widowed, heavy-drinking Knut Angstrom — ‘a maverick Swedish detective from the tough streets of Oslo’ — as he investigat­es a mysterious death. ANGSTROM (6.30PM, RADIO 4), starring Matthew Holness, is a new,

four-part parody of all those gloomy Scandi crime sagas.

IN THE second of his four-part series NILE RODGERS’ GOOD TIMES (10PM, RADIO 2), the disco legend talks about his partnershi­p with the band leader Bernard Edwards. Together they produced many hits, including Everybody Dance and I Want Your Love. Nile, who appeared with Bernard in a big TV show in Tokyo along with Sister Sledge, Slash and Steve Winwood, recalls how Bernard gave a great show, despite feeling unwell; he died in the night soon after his final performanc­e.
