DECKED out in glamourous gowns as a judge on Strictly, she usually looks the height of sophistication.
But as she modelled a dubious fashion trend yesterday, Shirley Ballas literally showed off a whole new side of herself.
Appearing on Loose Women, the 57year-old ‘Queen of Latin’ donned an outlandish pair of suspender-style jeans.
The quirky trousers are completely cut away at the back, so revealing the wearer’s derriere, and at the front sport a sizeable gap between the crotch and mid thigh – with the material held together with silver chains. To further add to the garishness, the £75 jeans – made by British label The Ragged Priest and sold by online retailer Asos – are also studded with diamante and have ripped knees.
Asked if she would wear the trousers on Strictly, Miss Ballas replied: ‘Probably not. But it is a little bit of fun. I do have to say the jeans are quite comfortable.’
