HM’s bridesmaid back in her own bed after hospital ordeal

THE QUEEN’S bridesmaid, Lady Pamela Hicks, is convalescing at home in Oxfordshire after spending 20 hours on an NHS trolley waiting for a hospital bed after contracting pneumonia.

The 88-year-old daughter of Earl Mountbatten was pictured in bed enjoying home comforts such as a scone with jam, a KitKat and tea served from a china pot.

‘We’re pacing ourselves on the road to recovery but we’ll get there,’ wrote her daughter India, who shared the snap online.
