Police have gone from friendly bobbies to robocop

A POLICEMAN’S only weapons were once a whistle and a truncheon. Now officers in towns and cities, and at sporting and public events are dressed like the SAS (right) ready for World War III. I want MPs to debate about how this came about and how they intend to make our country more peaceful. JOHN WRIGHT, Northampton.
