Model is latest victim of knife crime in capital

A MALE model whose face appeared on billboards across Britain and the US has become the latest victim of London’s knife crime epidemic.

Harry Uzoka, 25, pictured, was stabbed fatally in the chest during a suspected robbery. He was signed to the agency Next Models in Los Angeles, which developed the careers of Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer.

The 6ft model, who grew up in Essex, was said to be an ‘icon for black boys’, and had appeared in ad campaigns for the fashion chains Uniqlo and Bershka.

His killing brings the number of murders in London in the first two weeks of the year to five, four of them stabbed.

Mr Uzoka was found collapsed on a pavement in East Acton, West London, shortly after 4pm on Thursday.

Last night the Met Police said two men aged 27 and 28 had been arrested on suspicion of murder and were in custody.
