No award, but Angelina’s a winner in white

- By Susie Coen Showbusiness Reporter

SHE may have missed out on a gong, but at least Angelina Jolie’s stunning dress was a winner at the latest film awards in Hollywood yesterday.

The strapless white Ralph & Russo number featured a dramatic feathered bust and showed off the actress’s slender physique to perfection.

The bright look was in stark contrast to the black outfit she wore for last Sunday’s Golden Globes as part of the protest against the sexual harassment of women in Hollywood.

Miss Jolie, 42, was at the Critics’ Choice awards in Los Angeles where First They Killed My Father, which she directed, failed to win anything. But that didn’t stop her passing on some tips to rising star Brooklynn Prince, seven, who broke down in tears while accepting her Best Young Performer award for her role in The Florida Project.

The event gave fresh hope that Gary Oldman would gain an Oscar for his performance as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour. He repeated his Golden Globes triumph with another Best Actor award.
