Dapper and Flapper — the Ramsay twins at 18

MY, MY haven’t we grown! Chef Gordon Ramsay’s twins, Jack and Holly, turned 18 on New Year’s Day but wisely waited until this weekend to hold their joint birthday party.

In his Hugo Boss dinner suit, Jack looked remarkably like his 51-year-old father, while Holly dazzled in a black mini-dress with a bejewelled décolletage.

Her flapper-style frock was in keeping with the London bash’s Twenties Great Gatsby theme.

‘I’m so happy for these two peas from the same pod,’ Ramsay said. ‘Happy 18th — you can officially leave home now.’ Perhaps Ramsay has been re-reading F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, with its poignant observation: ‘All the bright precious things fade so fast, and they don’t come back.’ Or just glancing at snaps of the twins when younger (inset, with mum and dad) . . .
