When it comes to choosing which one to buy, I look for beautiful, but practical, packaging and wearable colours with a couple of unusual shades thrown in. The new NARSissist Wanted Palette (£55, narscosmetics.co.uk) has exactly that.

It’s packed with 12 warm-toned shadows, half of which are metallic. The lighter shades are perfect for the daytime, while the sparkling cranberry and matte brown work well together to create an unusual evening smoky eye. There isn’t a colour I wouldn’t wear.
