IT CAME a bit late for them, but Northampton’s dramatic win over Clermont may just be the jolt that sparks the Saints into life. Long out of Europe, the result did not really matter but, inspired by 32-year-old Ben Foden — apparently wearing the boots he last pulled on when England’s lively full-back in 2011 — it could yet be a marquee result in their season.
