LEAGUE ONE THIS WEEKEND
HERO OF THE WEEK
JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK (Northampton manager): It all appeared desperate at Sixfields earlier in the campaign, with relegation to League Two on the cards. But Hasselbaink has the respect of the players and they are committed to him. A 2-1 win at promotion contenders Bradford means the Cobblers are only in the relegation zone on goal difference.
ZERO OF THE WEEK
KEITH HILL (Rochdale manager): Rochdale are through to the FA Cup fourth round, but their league form is horrid. Hill appeared helpless as his side succumbed to Gillingham, a fourth straight defeat.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
ERHUN OZTUMER (Walsall v Oxford United): The Walsall midfielder shielded the ball from John Mousinho in the box before lobbing goalkeeper Simon Eastwood for his 12th goal of the season.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
DARREN FERGUSON (Doncaster manager): Ferguson said he expected to receive a letter of apology from referee Andy Haines after the official refused to award his side a ‘blatant penalty’ against Plymouth. He also said he didn’t think action would be taken against Haines, before adding: ‘What can I do? Shoot them, it would be a good idea.’
STAT OF THE WEEK
SEVEN: Rock-bottom Bury can’t seem to do anything right. The 1-0 loss at home to Charlton was their seventh straight league defeat.
