Naguib Kheraj, 53 Chairman, Rothesay Life

-

THE former finance chief of Barclays is joining the insurance firm Rothesay Life as chairman. Naguib Khera j replaces Ray King who will stay at Rothesay as a non-executive director. Cambridge-educated Kheraj began his career as a dealmaker at Wall Street investment bank Salomon Brothers in the 1980s when it was portrayed as a hotbed of cutthroat corporate excess in best-selling book Liar’s Poker. He has said that this description was over the top – but it was ‘a fun place to work’.
