BHS booms online

BHS is enjoying an online revival as it revealed booming sales of its women’s pyjamas, lighting and framed art.

Since its collapse in 2016, BHS has focused on selling its wares online after its online and international businesses were bought by the Qatari Al Mana Group. Sales in the final three months of 2017 soared by 43pc compared to the three months earlier as its online strategy paid off.

Its most popular categories were lighting, where sales jumped 57pc, home accessories, up 43pc, and women’s sleepwear, up by 104pc.

BHS disappeared from the UK High Street in August 2016 after 88 years of business.
