FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT (RADIO 2, 8PM) brings us a concert of great dance music, given by the dazzling BBC Concert Orchestra, live from the Chichester Festival Theatre. The orchestra will be joined by singers Rebecca Trehearn (pictured) and Gary Williams, who take us back to the days of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire with songs from Top Hat. Other toe-tappers include Herold’s Clog Dance and the Mexican Hat Dance, plus Johann Strauss’s Emperor Waltz and many a jig and polka.

GRIEFCAST is a podcast that has comedians sharing their own experiences of death and loss. Contributors include Robert Webb, David Baddiel and Amy Hoggart, daughter of the late Simon Hoggart, the journalist and News Quiz presenter. Its abrasive but honest style

can offer comfort and relief for the bereaved, who might have had more than their share of mawkish sympathy. In this first of a new series of the PODCAST RADIO

HOUR (RADIO 4 EXTRA,

9PM), Amanda Litherland listens in to Griefcast.
