DROP-IN TEST AT WEST HAM

THE ECB will road-test three drop-in 2019 World Cup pitches after fears that they make for dull matches. They will be moved from the Loughborough academy to West Ham’s London Stadium to see how they respond to transportation. There are plans for the stadium to host two matches in summer 2019.

YORKSHIRE officials Mark Arthur and Martyn Moxon are urging the ECB to rejig the two-division County Championship into three, six-team conferences.
